Kelvin Durán is a poet, musician, scholar, and teacher. He holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Hispanic Languages and Literatures of the University of Pittsburgh, where he currently teaches. His doctoral dissertation is entitled: Una sonda hacia el vacío: “Lo ondo i lo desatado”. Meditaciones sobre la metamorfosis oxigráfica y el pensamiento poético de Joserramón Melendes (http://d-scholarship.pitt.edu/43497/). Before moving to Pittsburgh, he worked as a literature and Spanish professor in Puerto Rico while participating in poetry, art, and music collectives. His research interests include poetry, Comparative Literature, Latin American, Caribbean, Indigenous Literature, philosophy, myth, religion, music, and natural sciences.
